I found this place walking home from clubbing. If I leave the clubs early I have to take a cab and for some reason, I guess to save a little money, I walk over to NHK and catch one over there. This place is in-between and I happened to pass it one day. It looked interesting so I took a picture to remind myself to try it out.

It took a couple of months to get around to trying it but it was pretty good. I had a tuna, wasabi and avocado spread which was great and I had their pork with melted cheese and tomato sauce. They have lots of magazines on the walls so you can grab something to read. Pretty much just what I was hoping for.

They are open until 3am so if you are looking for a place to eat in Shibuya late at night this is a good place to go.  It's a fairly typical cafe type of place but the food is better than average and it's got a good vibe.

MediaCafe Popeye
My favorite post club chillout spot is MediaCafe Popeye. There are a couple in Shibuya. I have found it to be
a) The most upscale internet cafe chain in Japan
b) A great value for a 5 hour night pack for 980yen (in osaka)
c) An even better way to kill time until a cheap first train.

You should check it out next time. It is worth it.

heya - thats right around the corner from my house. recommended.

another bar that is a few blocks up the street that is open til 5am (始発まで） is "Sone bar". One of those hard to find places, the owner and his wife run it. He DJs and she cooks and serves up drinks - right opposite the Hakuhodo cleaners HQ building, on the same side as Dexee. Fun little mellow 隠れ家.
