Here in Japan women are obsessed with looking *beautiful*. I'm sure
American women are also but I don't think it's quite to the same level as the
Japanese. It's insane and actually one reason I'm afraid of the
*stereotypical* Japanese woman. I'm sure some of this stuff is available
in the states but I don't think all of it is.
Anyway, I stole all these images from the National
website

There are feet massagers. I'm not sure how they make you look better
except maybe if you are less stressed then you'll smile more

Foamy suds I guess because it's fun and I'm sure they sell a variety of
ingredients that are supposed to remove wrinkles or cellulite or whatever.

Here is your personal Dremel tool, um I
mean fingernail polisher.

And then this is a console with four different types of electro-shock therapy.
You can see a few more pictures here.
Each of these things has little electrodes that *stimulate* your face muscles to
remove wrinkles.

One of my old roommates had one of these. When I first saw it I thought
it might have something to do with contact lenses as it sprays a mist and also
sucks in through the little rubber tip. It's actually a face vacuum
cleaner used to suck out your pimples and deep clean your pores.

Electric facial hair removers. Also used to trim your
eyebrows. There are more detailed pictures here.

Gotta have an electric water based food massager. If you
put it in front of the electric
toilet people might never get up.

Electric eyelash curlers. Hmmm, are we going overboard yet?

Okay, we do have these in the states. I've even considered
buying one before

And you know if your feet are rough you'll never meet the man of
your dreams because the first thing he looks at is the bottom of your feet and
if there is the slightest problem you won't even get a few words out before he
dumps your filthy footed feminine self.
This is not even the tip of the iceberg in terms of the amazing
number of products there are over here to help you with your *beauty*.
